Meeting Our Local MP

Curious young minds had the opportunity to meet and question Conservative MP, Claire Coutinho. A range of questions including issues such as disabilities and learning difficulties in educational settings, and the topic of climate change and energy usage in the UK were all discussed.

Claire shared stories about her early life and career path and gave the students and insight on what it is like to be an MP. The East Surrey MP shared her enthusiasm for Maths. The students were particularly intrigued by her stories that included going into tunnels underneath London to look at the electricity supply throughout the UK. What an experience!
